Non porous inks dry when exposed to the atmosphere. This causes a problem at the tip of the inkjet system where ink is exposed prior to the operation which ‘jets’ the drop onto the package or surface being marked.

The innovative and patented device fitted to the Kortho NP range of inkjet systems uses a simple door which closes between cycles and during periods of non-printing (e.g. overnight).

This provides an airtight seal directly at the print head thus ensuring the sensitive ink remains fluid and removes the need for regular daily cleaning.
